The festival was run in a round robin format to maximise the matches. There were a lot of athletic supports on display and the smell of Ralgex filled the sports hall.
It was a great standard of Netball and all played in a fantastic spirit. There was a mix of teams. Most were a collaboration of teams who had joined together just for the day. Some ladies had come back to play with old school friends too. It was truly a big mash up of the wider netball family, all doing what they love for a good cause.
The top team at the end of the day was Hardly Athletic who won all their matches.
It was a fantastic afternoon’s competition which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Thanks to all who took part and a special thanks to the umpires, Fiona Holden and my volunteer Debbie and her daughter from CRUK who kindly ran the raffle. We raised £339.07p on the day which shows the huge generosity of the Netball family.
