The North East’s only top flight netball franchise is launching its seasonal search for the very best in regional talent.
Netball Superleague action returns to Sport Central in January with homecourt heroes Team Northumbria determined to build on a strong finish to last season.
And new head coach Lisa Stanley will launch her search for the stars of tomorrow at a series of trials and training sessions throughout October.
TN are renowned for developing some of the best talent the region has to offer and last season saw a number of homegrown stars make their top flight bows.
Ex-England star Stanley aims to maintain the franchise’s reputation as a showcase for emerging stars – building a squad mixing youth and experience ahead of the new campaign.
TN manager Cathy Rooney said: “Team Northumbria Netball Superleague would like to invite any player who wishes to be considered for this year’s squad to attend a series of training sessions.
“We would like to see as many past players and new faces as possible.”
The open trials and training sessions take place on the following dates at Sport Central:
October 11th 7pm-9pm
October 13th 8pm-10pm
October 18th 7pm-9pm
October 20th 8pm-10pm
Players should be of Regional, NTL or Premier League club level or above.
